It was a wet, cold and very overcast day as Julian made his way in to the city by bus for work. Julian was feeling a little hungover from a few drinks with friends last night to celebrate his 40^th birthday and he was already feeling stressed at the thought of the report that he needed to finish and submit today at work; not having breakfast also hadn't made for a great start to his day.

The bus seemed to be going extra slow this morning and there sure were a lot of people getting on the bus Julian thought to himself. He wrapped his coat a little tighter around himself and let his eyelids close momentarily, as his tummy made loud grumbling noises.

……….DING DING – Julian suddenly sat up straight at the sound of the bus bell and he rapidly blinked his eyes to wake himself up. As he gazed out the window, he realised he had missed his bus stop by a couple of blocks; he quickly stumbled off the bus at the next available stop with his fellow travellers.

Oh bother, Julian thought, even a short walk to the office seemed overwhelming this morning and the rain was coming down ever harder now. Rubbing his eyes Julian wondered if somehow time could just go back a couple of hours (or maybe 4 or 5!) where he could be back at home, curled up snug in his bed and listening to the sound of the rain on his roof top.

Julian lifted his head slightly as he picked up his feet a little to start the walk to his office. A beautiful aroma began to waffle around him; the rich warm smell of a perfectly blended coffee, Julian's lips started to purse themselves together as that coffee smell began to get stronger around him.

Julian's eyes caught the sign of the café he was about to pass, as his nose followed the delightful smell. Coffee & Dreams………….. ahahaaaa Julian thought to himself, this might be just what I need to shake off my early morning blues!

Opening the café door, Julian was greeted by a welcoming and cheery hello from the workers behind the counter. The café was cosy, vibrant and homely, a staff member waved him with a smile, and a menu in hand, to a table where he could sit and collect himself together and dry out a little from the rain.
